We're aware of speeding concerns in our neighborhood and take this matter seriously. If you witness speeding, the most effective action is to call the police and record license plate numbers when it's safe to do so. The Board has explored all available options and recommends moving forward with installing two electronic speed signs, which studies show effectively reduce speeding. A formal presentation of this project will occur at the 2026 Annual Meeting.
The board is aware of the deteriorating pothole situation on Church Lane and is actively working to manage it. Temporary cold patching of potholes will continue throughout the winter as they develop, but due to extensive cracking around the pavement, some patches are breaking up quickly when water seeps in and freezes. The only permanent solution is professional repaving, which can only be done during spring or summer months. In the meantime, we'll continue temporary cold patching to keep the road as safe as possible. We appreciate everyone's patience as we work toward a long-term fix for Church Lane.
Please remember to clean up after your dogs on all walks through the community. Being considerate of your neighbors' property helps keep Weldon Park pleasant for everyone.
Please help keep our community clean by properly disposing of trash and not littering. We've noticed an increase in litter along Church Lane in particular. Everyone's cooperation in keeping our streets and common areas free of trash is greatly appreciated.
Please respect common areas and other residents' property. This includes not trimming branches or trees on neighboring properties or in open spaces without permission. If you notice something in common areas that needs attention, please contact the Board so we can address it appropriately.
The WPCA Community Garden got off to a successful start in 2025, with a rock wall entryway, two raised beds, and vegetables flourishing well into November including radishes, broccoli, beets, fennel, carrots, and snap peas. We've experienced minimal issues with pests or wildlife, and the full sunlight in the ball field location has proven ideal for growing. Looking ahead to 2026, we plan to expand with additional raised beds, a wildflower patch, corn planted around the perimeter, and a pumpkin patch. Great news: the garden will not require the previously anticipated upfront costs for water hookup. To learn more about the garden and reserve your plot for the 2025 growing season, visit https://www.weldonpark.org/garden.
To keep pace with rising costs for landscaping, road repairs, and insurance, annual dues will increase by 10% in 2026 to $287. This increase allows us to continue maintaining the quality of our community.
We now offer online payment for HOA dues via ACH (direct bank transfer), but please note that there is no general payment link available on our website. Each payment is processed through a personalized invoice sent directly to you.
